Greg Daniels and Writing Staff Attending Convention!

According to the TimesLeader!

"The prolific comedy writer confirmed Thursday night that he and his writing staff will join cast members at what is being hailed as “the mother of all Scranton parties.” The convention will take place at several Scranton sites from Oct. 26-28.

Daniels and Dave Rogers, a show editor and fellow Emmy winner, took part in a live online blog following Thursday night’s one-hour season premiere.

“The writing staff and I are going,” he confirmed on the blog. “It should be good time.”

Daniels and his writing staff are slated to participate in a “Writers’ Block” panel discussion on Oct. 28, said committee member Dempsey. Although the time hasn’t been set, the event is expected to be held at the Scranton Cultural Center, 420 N. Washington Ave., she said."

No word yet if that means BJ (Ryan) and Paul (Toby) will be a part of the writing staff that's coming, but maybe we could assume so?

MORE Guests for the Office Convention!

Just got this from one of the organizers:

"The first four days of ticket sales have been great. We've seen amazing response from people all over the country and internationally. We're continuing to firm up the weekend's events, and now that we've got so many committed cast members we'll be able to (hopefully soon) start connecting dates and times with names. Also, today we're able to announce that Angela Kinsey (Angela) and Bobby Ray Shafer (Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration) will be coming as well! And that's not all - we're also working on final details with even MORE cast members, so as you can imagine this is only going to grow. We'd all like to thank the fans for their support, it's going to be an amazing time here in Scranton. An interesting note - NO tickets were sold last night between 9 and 10. Hmmmm, I wonder what everyone was doing? ;)"

Mindy Kaling Talks About Being Kelly

NY Magazine has the interview!

"I have a boyfriend who is not trying to fire me the way that Ryan is. We share a few characteristics, though. I sound like a 9-year-old girl, I think. I have a deep love of online shopping, I am very committed to people like Beyoncé, and that is very similar. In the Venn diagram of Kelly versus me, though, I don't think we have that many things in common."

John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer Video

This is too funny to not forward like it's hot!!

Entertain Weekly has a fun video (remember the Rainn/Angela one?) with John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer. Oh man it's fun and really gets you ready to see what Jim and Pam are up to tonight!

No spoilers.

B.J.Blogs!

It's been quite a while since B.J. Novak has left a blog on MySpace. But tonight's a special night now isn't it?

"Hey!

Um, yeah... Hi! This is... wow... I mean it's great to see you again, it's just, wow, it's been, what, a couple months now?"

Read the entire VERY funny blog HERE.

Angela Coming To The Convention!!

Well, according to Rock107 anyway!!

"I asked Angela Kinsey of NBC's "The Office" on our show today if she was going to be in town for The Office Convention the end of October and...an exclusive and you heard it here first, "YES!" She's coming too!"

Click HERE for the story! Once it's confirmed by Convention folks, we'll update our attending cast list post!

Premiere Night Special Interview!!

... Angela Kinsey, Actress

The day has finally arrived. It seems like an eternity since we last were watching new footage of our friends at Dunder Mifflin in Scranton! Today, the wait ends. We will know what happens to Jim and Pam, Michael and Jan, and Dwight and Angela!

Oh, speaking of Angela, the one and only Angela Kinsey spent some time to share her TwoCents and Five Answers with us!!

Angela has appeared everywhere since the show began, from guesting on "Thank God You're Here" to numerous appearances on talk shows, internet specials, Emmy broadcasts, and movie appearances! She's everywhere and we consider ourselves fortunate to include TheTwoCents on that list of Angela Kinsey sightings!

Enjoy!

TwoCents: Could you tell the TwoCents readers what path led you to "The Office"?
Angela Kinsey: My path to The Office was a long and random one which makes it that much sweeter now. I lived in New York before moving out to Los Angeles. I had been interning on Conan O'Brien and taking acting classes at HB Studios. I didn't know a single person in Los Angeles. It was pretty daunting but so exciting. Ten years later I got The Office! Years of auditioning, performing improv and sketch comedy, taking classes and just never giving up. It wasn't easy but every step led me here.

Creed Bratton Inteview!

The Scranton Times-Tribune has a great interview with Creed Bratton today!

"'They (fans on blogs) say, 'Creed can't act. He comes in stoned.' And that I ad-lib," Mr. Bratton said during a recent phone interview. "It's all scripted, kids. It's insulting to the writers if they thought it was all ad-libbed.'"

You can read it HERE.

USA Today Tips From The Office

According to USA Today, bosses across American could be taking cues from Michael Scott! YIKES!!

"Readers who are unfamiliar with The Office don't realize how unsettling it is that bosses may be taking cues from the regional manager of fictitious office-supply distributor Dunder Mifflin. Michael's character is played by A-list movie actor Steve Carell (Little Miss Sunshine, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up), who exhibits jealousy when his birthday is overshadowed by an employee's skin cancer test. His eyes linger upon workplace cleavage and, when apologizing for a homosexual slur in one episode, he maladroitly outs a gay employee."

Kev Blogs!

Kevin Malone aka Brian Baumgartner has put a new blog out into the world.

"I have been remiss. Which means... I have been bad. I promised Emmy updates. And I did not provide. So I guess i just better make this the best blog ever written in the history of the world. Which will be hard (that's what she said), cause the world is a small place (that's what HE said)."

Dunder Mifflin Infinity - You're Hired!

From their site...

Sept. 26, 11:00 AM ET

Human Resources has just sent out all hiring emails to prospective employees. Winning Regional Managers and confirmed employees may now report to work at their branches. We would ask that all pending employees (i.e. those awaiting manager approval) and employees whose branches have not yet opened to please be patient.

As of right now, I haven't received any word about being Regional Manager of Danbury yet. The link for the Danbury branch doesn't work. Anyone else having trouble?

Office Convention Ticket Sale Updates

From a few sources!

The TimesLeader.com
"Although some of the bigger names on the show, including Steve Carell, who plays Dunder Mifflin’s goofball regional manager Michael Scott, and Rainn Wilson, his overzealous assistant, Dwight Schrute, aren’t confirmed as attending, that doesn’t mean, for sure, that they won’t be here. There are more stars “to be announced,” said Sara Hailstone, the executive director of Scranton’s economic and community development office. She also said earlier that some of the show’s writers may be on hand for question-and-answer opportunities."

Scranton Times-Tribune
"Sales progressively tapered off as the day wore on.
By 3:40 p.m., the tally was at $63,900.74, Ms. Timlin said.
The vast majority of tickets purchased came from fans far removed from Northeastern Pennsylvania, with most opting for the convention's top-tier $100 and $250 passes."

Throw an "Office" Premiere Party!

The TwinCities.com will help you out!

They have a cool party planning guide for Office night!

"Invitations. E-mail messages in memo form, like most corporate communications. Attaching spicy vacation photos, like Michael once did in an e-mail, is optional but encouraged.
Ask guests to arrive at least an hour before the premiere at 7 p.m. Thursday so you have time to watch a few classic episodes on DVD."

Greg Daniels Talks About Scranton Ties To Show

In an article with The Washington Post, Greg Daniels talks about trying to get things "right" between Scranton and TV's version of Scranton.

"In other words, not every detail on "The Office" -- the NBC comedy about a group of disgruntled Scranton paper company employees and the unhinged manager who thinks "That's what she said" is the funniest phrase ever invented -- is accurate when it comes to this former coal-mining mecca.

Hey, it's television, people."

Convention Tickets Selling Like Hotcakes!

From the Scranton Times-Tribune:

"Fans of NBC's Scranton-set sitcom "The Office" came out in full force this morning to purchase tickets for the first-ever "The Office" Convention, set for Oct. 26-28 in downtown Scranton.
Tickets on the convention's Web site went on sale at 10 a.m., and in the first hour $54,208.46 worth were sold, according to Carolyn Timlin of the accounting department of The Times-Tribune, one of the event's sponsors."

My thought process would be, if they get enough money, they will be able to lock down even more cast members? Keep it up folks!

Dunder-Mifflin Infinity Handbook

The DMI website has a few updates including its new employee handbook!

Office Inteview!

... Lance Krall, Actor

Remember that reality show from 2003 where a guy was put into a house, thinking it was a reality show, but everyone else were actors? The Joe Schmo Show! Remember "Kip" on the show? That was actor Lance Krall, or as he's known to us in the Office Universe - Sensei Ira!

Recently Lance spent some time with TheTwoCents and shared his TwoCents and Five Answers about being involved with "The Office" during the season 2 episode entitled "The Fight".

Enjoy!

TwoCents: Tell TheTwoCents readers about yourself and how you started in "show biz".
Lance Krall: I started doing improv in college with a bunch of loosers and we eventually co-founded The Whole World Theatre. I did shows there for about eight years and finally decided to move to LA in 2000.

Season 4 - Episode 4 - Money

Oct 18th, 2007 brought us the episode entitled "Money".

Angela Blog!

Angela Kinsey talks about the Emmys and some other cool stuff in her latest MySpace blog!

"And of course I was bummed that none of my good friends and coworkers walked away with a statue. I thought that Steve, Rainn and Jenna were so deserving. But I thought both Steve and Rainn had two of the funniest moments of the night. Oh and Rainn said that Kanye is a huge Office fan!"

Melora Hanging Out At The Pier

The Santa Monica Pier that is.

"Celebrity health and fitness guru Eric Paskel, a favorite of Jessica Biel and Elisha Cuthbert, brought his fitness program Xflowsion to the Santa Monica pier Friday afternoon. A random mix of bold-faced names came, including Prince’s ex-wife Mayte Garcia, The Office’s Melora Hardin..."

Kristin from E! Says John is Dangerous!

Ok, she says it about Will Arnett too!

And when they are both together - WATCH OUT!

"Apparently John and Will are good friends (do you not love that?), and all I can say is not only were they incredibly cool, they were insanely, stomach-crampingly funny together (note to NBC: Get these two together on 30 Rock or The Office, like, now)."

You can read Kristin's story over HERE.

NY Times Says You Are What You Watch

If that's the case, I'm truly a mutt with the amount of TV shows I consume in a week.

But the Times was nice enough to mention our favorite little show!

"Over at NBC “The Office” is one of the best comedies on television yet the truly finicky insist it can’t hold a candle to the original British version starring Ricky Gervais."

The article is hanging out over HERE.

Appleton Post Crescent Talks to "Pros".

Professionals talk about watching their life through tv shows.

Including...

"The Emmy-winning documentary-style parody chronicles life in an office with regional manager Michael Scott serving as the zany tour guide. Scott is Rhonda Ziegler's favorite character. "He's just funny. I like the premise that everyone thinks he's crazy, but he just won't accept that," said Ziegler, an assistant bank manager at Associated Bank's Richmond Street branch in Appleton."
