Vance Refrigeration's New Penguin is Named...

PUCK!!

That's right! Bobby Ray Shafer blogged about it on his MySpace page:

"The winning entry was submitted by Mr. Rob S. from Studio City, California. And this is what he had to say when informed of his magnificent, cunning triumph: "I am such a winner! I so totally deserve it! WOW! There IS justice! Man, right now, I love me some me!" Mr. S. also gave us this insight in regard to why he chose his inspired christening: "First of all, it rhymes with lots of stuff. Then, you got your whole "P"alliteration deal, the Shakespeare connection, AND as another bonus, the hockey thing; you could give hockey pucks as promo items, VANCE REFRIGERATION. WE GIVE A PUCK..." Mr. S. also told us that: "I think I was able to get INSIDE Bob Vance's head a helluva-lot better han the rest of the people in this contest who are now losers.""

Now, I'm not one to spoil mystery, but I know a certain Mr. Robert Shafer who lives in Studio City, CA......

Creed Thoughts - Jan 24, 2008

Quality Assurance? Check!

New Creed Blog? Check!

Creed has a new set of his "Thoughts" over at NBC.

"I saw that Willy Wonka movie last weekend and I didn’t care for it one bit. For one thing, that boat scene triggered a flashback that took a full day to get out of. Also, I don’t like the message it sends to kids. Chocolate should be eaten because it’s delicious, not because you want to see the place where the chocolate is made. I’ve been to chocolate factories before and they’re okay, but they’re really nothing special. They’ve got a tasty smell but that’s about it. If you’re looking for a contest with a real prize, play the lottery."

That boat scene has ALWAYS scared me! How about you? Do you agree with Creed?

Craig Robinson LIVE!

Everyone's favorite Office Warehouse Foreman, Craig Robinson, is going to be doing his stand-up thing at Centenary College in Lousianna this weekend.

"Fans of "The Office" may be accustomed to watching Craig Robinson bully Steve Carell's character, Michael Scott, as warehouse worker Darryl Philbin. However, comedy fans will see a different side of Robinson on Saturday when he performs stand up at the Centenary Gold Dome."

Get Smart, starring Steve Carell, has a new international trailer out.

Being a fan of the TV show, this trailer really shows a character that is a mix of Don Adams' original Agent Maxwell Smart and Steve Carell's Michael Scott.

Review of B.J. Novak's Standup in Boston

The website, The Bostonist, has a review from B.J. Novak's recent stand up routine at Northeastern.

"Novak busted out a stack of quick-quip jokes to test on the local crowd - 22 were keepers, 7 were tossed into the trash, a solitary joke kept to himself. We think it should have ended at 20-9-1, but who are we to quibble when they guy managed to mention Carmen Sandiego, Bill Nye the Science Guy, and You Can't Do That On Television?"

Melora Hardin Talks to AskMen.com

I received an email from AskMen.com letting us know that Melora Hardin has spoken with them recently.

They posted an article called 13 Questions with Melora Hardin.

"We heard that the cast of The Office actually went to Scranton, Pennsylvania. That must have been fun!
It was just amazing. Four thousand people come out in the rainy, cold weather… we really have awesome fans. I got to sing in front of 1,500 screaming people, and we also did a Q&A. It was incredible, the amount of people there who were asking questions. There was a lot of fun stuff that happened during that "convention.""

Jenna Fischer Blog - "Me and David Spade"

Jenna Fischer has posted a brand new blog on her MySpace page in which she sends lots of fun little notes to us fans.

The first is one of many rumors...

"Over Christmas, I saw a report in Star Magazine that I'm dating David Spade. Imagine my surprise as… I'VE NEVER MET David Spade! What a milestone! My first TOTALLY 100% UNTRUE tabloid report! I've always been very cynical when I hear celebrities say that a story is fake. I figure SOME part of every story must be true right? NO WAY! I have no idea how they are allowed to get away with stuff like that! My publicist said that no one ever called to check the facts of the David Spade story. Which seems strange to me. I have a minor in journalism and I was told to never run a story without 2 reliable sources to back it up. But, while we are on the subject, some other people I've never met are: Orlando Bloom, Colin Farrell, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Brad Pitt. Maybe I can fictionally date some of those guys too?"

Make sure you read her P.S. at the bottom. PHEW!

Over 150,000 Dwight Schrute Bobbleheads Have Been Sold!

Even Dwight Schrute, Dunder Mifflin's #1 paper salesman from NBC's hit show "The Office," would be impressed with this sales performance. The NBC Universal Store has sold more than 150,000—and counting—Dwight Schrute Bobbleheads, modeled after the character portrayed by Rainn Wilson. Since hitting shelves in April 2006, the figure, whose nodding head features Dwight's signature glasses and haircut, has become the biggest seller in the eight-year history of the store.

In honor of this milestone, two very special bobbleheads autographed by Wilson will be available online for "The Office" fans to win. The first highly sought-after bobblehead, available on nbc.com/auctions, will go home with the highest bidder in an online auction. One hundred percent of the bobblehead auction's net proceeds will go to Wilson's charity of choice, the Mona Foundation, which supports children's education projects throughout the world. The item will be part of NBC's second live auction for fans to bid for exclusive props and memorabilia from other NBC Series, including "Heroes," "Friday Night Lights" and "30 Rock." The bidding begins on Monday, January 21, 2008, at 7 p.m. EST / 4 p.m. PST, with the gavel falling on Wednesday, January 30, 2008.

"The Office" Season 2 New on TV!!

Well, it's new to you if you live in Dubai!

"Dubai, UAE - January 20, 2008: It's time to clock in for Season Two of The Office, the hilarious and witty fly-on-the-wall TV docu-reality starring Steve Carell (Little Miss Sunshine, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) in his Golden Globe Award-winning role. From sexual politics to performance reviews to email espionage, the employees at Dunder-Mifflin are there to get the job done…or not. Join earnest but clueless boss Michael Scott (Carell), Assistant to the Regional Manager Dwight (Rainn Wilson), receptionist Pam (Jenna Fischer), sales rep Jim (John Krasinski), and the office temp, Ryan (B.J. Novak), as they make the daily grind a lot more laughable."

You can read more HERE.

For those of us who failed Geography, Wikipedia says...

Dubai can either refer to one of the seven emirates that constitute the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the eastern Arabian Peninsula, or that emirate's main city, sometimes called "Dubai city" to distinguish it from the emirate.

Michael: Wikipedia... is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject, so you know you are getting the best possible information.

Ben Silverman to sell Reveille

You know that logo with the guy playing the trumpet at the end of the Office episodes? That's the title card for Reveille production company. Ben Silverman owned the company and now that he's on board at NBC has decided to sell it.

"NBC Entertainment co-Chairman Ben Silverman has agreed to sell his production company, which makes "The Office" and "Ugly Betty," to a London-based firm owned by Elisabeth Murdoch for at least $125 million, people familiar with the situation said Friday.

Silverman put the company, Reveille, up for sale last year to deflect criticism that his dual role as a supplier and buyer of programming was a potential conflict of interest."

B.J. Novak Perfroming in Mass.

Any of you in Massachusetts should find away to get to Northeastern University to see B.J. Novak do some stand up!

"With the writers strike, talented types like B.J. Novak have a lot of time on their hands. So what to do? Wednesday night, the Newton native, who writes and co-produces "The Office," will be at Northeastern's Blackman Auditorium, where he'll do what he does best: stand-up. Novak's appearance is being sponsored by the Kappa Sigma fraternity."

Found this article on Boston.com.

Schrute Space - "Why I Don’t Trust the Craftsmanship of Swedes"

It's been a while since we've heard from Dwight Schrute through his blog entitled Schrute Space.

The wait was worth it as Dwight feels very empassioned about a certain chain furniture store...

"it was suggested that I visit the massive furniture store run by Swedish people (In an effort to not slander nor promote any corporations in this weblog, I will refrain from naming with Swedish furniture store I patronized. Let’s just say that it was a bad “IDEA” that I shopped there)."

Creed Thoughts - “What I Look for in a President”

Are you still undecided about who to vote for?

Well, who better to sway your opinion that Creed?

"I’ve been through lots of Presidents in my time and after a while, you get a sense of what you want in a leader. Here’s my list of what I look for in a President"

NBC Auctioning Off "The Office" Gear

Want to dress like Pam? How about Dwight?

NBC is allowing that and more as they auction off items worn by cast members and some props and other goodies. They even have a Dwight Schrute Bobblehead autographed by Rainn Wilson himself!

You can see the auction HERE. Be warned the NBC auction site seems to be having some issues, but every now and then it works.
